    An Invitation, Not an Event

    The retreat is unhurried on purpose. Between sessions there's coffee on the porch, walks by the water, tables full of laughter, and time to actually finish a conversation. Some women come with a friend; plenty come alone and go home with new ones.

    Here's some of what Cindy says about herself: "I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend seeking God's answers for the challenges of midlife. After 23 years of moving around the world with my U.S. Army chaplain husband and our four kids… the kids left the nest!"

    Her own empty-nest season became the focus of her academic study and master's thesis, and today she creates biblically sound, evidence-based resources for women at midlife that lead to identity in Christ, steadfast faith, and future flourishing.

    Step Two: Retreat Payment

    Pay online through our regular church giving page — choose the Ladies' Retreat fund and enter $85 (overnight) or $45 (Saturday only). You may also hand a check to the church office marked "Ladies' Retreat" (attention: Kelly Banks).

    What should I bring?

    Bedding or a sleeping bag and pillow, towels and toiletries, a Bible and notebook, comfortable clothes, and a light jacket for the evening by the river.

    I don't know anyone. Should I still come?

    Yes. Ladies come on their own every year and end up seated at a table full of friends by Saturday morning. Let us know on the form and we'll make sure you're welcomed.

    Can I come for just part of it?

    Absolutely. Saturday-only registration is $45 and includes the sessions and Saturday meals.
